Hi, I'm Katy Zack, a PR and marketing communications professional. Throughout my career, I've focused on helping companies find the best message and media to drive their business objectives. I'm fascinated by how the brain works, how and what we remember, and what persuades people. This has led me to pursue work in PR and marketing for advertising, media, and technology companies.
Before moving to London in late 2016, I spent over a decade in New York City leading marketing and PR for digitally-led companies. During that time, I led global marketing communications for xAd (now Groundtruth), a leading mobile advertising technology company, overseeing a team that led paid, earned and owned media and channels, content strategy, and global events. While there, I was honored on the PR Week's Innovation 50 2015, the magazine's list of 50 rising stars in technology PR and digital communications.
I also led communications for Omnicom's digital agency group Critical Mass, repositioning the agency to a top-tier global digital marketing firm; oversaw US marketing and PR for AKQA leading to its acquisition by WPP for $550mn in 2012; and helped online video startup Howcast share the power of online video in the early days of digital media.
In 2016, I traveled around the world for 9 months, hitting 28 countries. Still today, you can find me doing cartwheels and twirling around the world when I'm not working.
